Sabotage Exhibition Match
The first ever racquetball match where you as the spectator get to participate in the match from home! Read the rules below to learn more about the Sabotage Match and how to participate.
How It Works:
A Sabotage Match is a normal racquetball game that is played best 2 out of 3 games to 15 with a tiebreaker to 11. What makes this exhibition unique is as a spectator you get to directly influence how the game goes! How does a spectator do this? Below is a list of rules with prices that a spectator can make for the game that instantly impacts the game. To do this, a spectator must first pick the rule they want and then pay the Manilla Athletics Venmo (See below) with the rule they want to implement. The Manilla Athletics team will instantly be notified and implement the rule immediately. Watch and laugh as the pros adapt their game to how you as the spectator tell them to!

Choice Of Serve
Name the serve you want to see and players must serve that way for 5 rallies. Examples - Drive Serves only - Lob serve only - Serve off handed
Switch Game to 1 Serve
Switch the game so servers are only allowed 1 serve instead of 2 for 5 ralliesReplay Previous Point
Subtract A Point From A PlayerIf you thought a rally was fun or didn't end the way you wanted, replay the point!
Subtract a point from any player that you want
Rally Scoring
Subtract a point from a player and Add a point to another player
Buy A Time OutSwitch the scoring system to rally scoring for 5 rallies
Subtract a point from any player that you want and then add a point to the other opponent
Buy a timeout for a player, give them some rest to use when they want to!Two Bounce Game
Off Handed PlayChange up the game with letting players have two bounces for 5 rallies!
Players must play off handed for 5 rallies!

No Fault Serves
Give players the opportunity to go for the crack ace serve every serve with this rule! This rule last until the game is over!

How is this an Interactive Racquetball Match?
This match is interactive because you as the spectator get to directly impact how the match goes! You get to make rules from home and send the rule in via Venmo and we make the rule live!
How long do the matches go?
Typically matches go for an hour and a half but truly depend on the crowd interaction with the event. Marches can be as quick as 45 minutes or as long as 2 hours!
Can I make up other rules besides what is shown on the "Menu of Rules"?
Making up rules is a tricky concept because we don't want to get away from players actually playing racquetball. We don't want people to make up rules that change the way racquetball is played. That being said if you think we are missing a good rule and want to add your own rule, in the facebook comments ask us the rule you want to put in place. If the commentating team approves we will tell you a price for the new rule and you can send it in!
How frequently will you run Sabotage Matches?
We are looking to run one sabotage event every month or every month and a half!
How do you pick the matches?
We pick the matches based on athletes that are close to each other at a given time. We can run this event anywhere in the world. If you know of athletes that are close together that you think will be good for a sabotage match let us know and we can talk about streaming a sabotage event. We are limiting the events to pro players only.
How do you pay for a rule?
As of now we only accept payments through Venmo. Find our Venmo name above @manillaathletics, in the comments of the Venmo tell the rule you are paying to make.
