Background
Growing up Junior Nationals was the event we looked forward to every year. Not just for the competition and fighting for the crown of Junior National Champion but we also got to connect with kids from around the nation that all shared a similar passion.
Last year USA racquetball hosted the 2023 Junior Nationals at Bay Club Pleasanton. The tournament was well ran and the kids had a great event. This year 2024, the Manilla Athletics Team wanted to take this tournament a step further! Our team proposed to USA racquetball that we would pay for the rights to Junior Nationals so we could run the event how we wanted. We would do all the fundraising and run an unforgettable junior national tournament for the kids. It is our mission to make the 2024 Junior nationals the best junior event that has been held in the past 30 years! Be a part of our team that puts on this awesome event.
Where Is Your Money Helping?
Tournament Shirts
Unlike normal tournaments, Junior National T-Shirts are a must. Kids continuously wear their junior nationals shirts as a badge of honor. A reminder of the fun and competitive atmosphere had at junior nationals!
Gym Rental
Like anything the gym that host this event has to be paid to host the event. The Bay Club is one of the few premiere gyms left in the country with 8 courts willing to host big events.
Hospitality
Providing food & drinks for the kids that have traveled around the nation to attend is a must for us! We want to give the kids food to allow the kids to stay at the gym fro most of the day and hang out with their fellow racquetball friends
Streaming & Photography
Streaming the event for family, friends and racquetball enthusiasts to watch is a must for us. On top of this we would like to hire photographers to be able to capture all the incredible moments had at this event
Banquet / Player Party
This event is made for kids of all ages and skill levels. The player banquet is a chance for kids to mingle with one another and enjoy the company of their friends from around the nation. Take a step back from the competitive part of the tournament and enjoy being kids. We have some FUN ideas in the works for this.
Awards Ceremony
Acknowledging the hard work these kids and families put in to our sport can't go without being acknowledged. We want to be able to proudly showcase the top kids in our nation and have them feel a sense of accomplishment on something they have worked so hard for!
