FAQ

  • Parents may drop their athletes off at the Olympic Training Center Thursday night but will not be allowed to stay with the athletes on the campus or join during the camp. There is lots to see and do around the area that parents can do while the athletes are at camp!

  • Athletes and coaches will stay on the secured Olympic Paralympic Training Center campus dorm rooms.   The dorms are key access only, and the athletes and coaches will be on the same floor. 2 kids to a room - Roommates will be assigned by coaches

  • We will have a bus transfer athletes from the Olympic Training Center to the courts every day!

  • Athletes will have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Olympic Training Center cafeteria every day! All diets will be accepted. The food is truly delicious!

  • The easiest way is to fly directly into Colorado Springs and we will organize private transportation through the OTC (Olympic Training Center) to pick up your athlete. If athletes choose to fly directly into Denver they will have to arrange their own transportation.

  • Does your athlete work hard to reach their goals? Does your athlete want to improve well past the point they are currently at? Does your athlete want to go pro or compete in tournaments? Does your athlete want to meet friends from across the Nation that will become their lifetime friends? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, your athlete is the right person for this camp!

  • April gives athletes wanting to compete in the largest junior tournament in the USA, Junior Nationals (held in June), enough time to learn, train and perform. The Olympic Training Center is the most elite training facility we have in our Nation where Olympic athletes all come together to train. Adam and Erika Manilla grew up as team USA junior athletes and had the honor to attend racquetball camps here as well. It is their way to pay it forward. To bring back the importance of competing to qualify and represent your country. To give the understanding of how sports are greater than just the athlete. Sharing how it takes a team to improve, and when you surround yourself by others that have the same desire to be greater and can learn from experts in their fields, you will outshine the rest.

  • This camp is designed after the long tradition of junior USA team camps that have been going on since the first junior team in the 1980s. It has been modified to fit the current aspects of training, but the foundation is the same. The goal is to push each athlete to show them what they are capable of, and to create a team between the campers that will support one another to help them reach their goals. This is done by early morning runs (they do not need to be good runners), workouts in the weight room, guest speakers who are experts in their fields, hours of on court work, and many team building exercises on the way. Many of us do not know how far we can push ourselves mentally and physically until placed in a safe environment where mistakes are applauded, and where a team will lend you a hand to pick you up when you fall.
